Near-continuous therapeutic drug monitoring in transplanted patients

Cornel’s MicroEye(R) microdialysis device is a key factor in enabling therapeutic drug monitoring of immunosuppressants drugs to prevent rejection in transplant patients.  Following a clinical study after kidney transplantation, which was conducted at the Klinikum rechts der Isar hospital of the Technische Universität München (Munich, Germany), using conventional lab methods, samples from this study will also undergo determination using a microfluidic optical chip total internal reflection fluorescence (TIRF) method.  This is a continuation of the project work started under European Community project Nanodem – NANOphotonic Device for Multiple therapeutic drug monitoring.  A summary of which can be found in our video below.
